Caterina halted in her ascent to the plateau, feeling her body turned around by an arm on her shoulder. She froze when a kiss as violent as the battle around them was pressed to her lips, and for the briefest of moments she blinked owlishly at Bowen. Then she returned his smirk, and turned back to follow him up the plateau, a dagger read in each of her hands.

She hurried up to his side, and reached up to his arm to place it over her shoulder. "If your side is injured," she said, looking up at him with a playfully concerned look, "you shouldn't walk around like that." She winked, and then turned forward, concentrating her strength to supporting his weight. It was a little bit difficult to keep one hand ready to swing with her dagger, in case they got attacked, but she managed. She was tougher than she looked, she thought with a proud, internal smile.

Ianto glanced over at Bowen and nodded at the older man with a tense but genuine smile. "And it's an honor to fight at yours. But then, that sounds like we're going to our deaths or something, so lets hold the touching confessions off until we win, hm?" He suggested with a wink, then with a last look he turned to run towards where Jezarine had been.

Luckily, the mage was still standing, and the path towards her was thankfully free of darkspawn. When he reached her side, he glanced down at her with a smile before turning to focus on the battle. "You read to move yet, Jez?" He asked casually, despite that he'd cut at a Genlock as he spoke. As he continued looking around the field, he wondered if there was any end to the darkspawn. He found himself frowning- of course, he didn't know how it worked, but he couldn't help but be worried that so many darkspawn had shown up, even though they were in a camp full of Wardens. Shouldn't they have been sensed before this?

Ah well. No time for worrying about that, now. He had a mage to escort. With the way clear, he turned back to Jez, motioning with a tilt of his head to the plateau. "We shouldn't straggle so far back from the others. Bowen's side isn't looking too good, and I don't want to leave him. Of course," he said with another quick grin, despite the situation, "I can't leave you here by yourself, either."

Post  Jezarine Wed Jun 02, 2010 5:40 pm

Jezarine was stunned and she couldn't figure out what was being said as the sound of Darkspawn, fighting and her own blood pounded in her head. She had never experienced anything like this before and it was startling to say the least. When Ianto turned to her she got up, not knowing what he was saying but wanted to get to healing Bowen. They had to get out of the way, up to the plateau.

"I can magically heal him as we go." Jez said as she started to concentrate on Bowen's wound, "Please watch my back, Ianto." She said as they began moving and she worked on her spell.

The healer ignored much around her, she hadn't even caught what had been said before or the kiss between Bowen and Caterina but now she only knew one foot in front of the other, healing and trying to get to the plateau. If anything attacked her she would be easy prey. At least they were ahead of the advancing hordes.

They were near the trail which went up to the plateau when the healing was finally complete and she sighed a breath of relief, having felt the sinews and skin knit perfectly. It would be sore but he wasn't in danger anymore. She then cast a spell to revive Bowen's energy, "Done!"

Supper Time Day One - Page 2 Empty Re: Supper Time Day One

Post  Lithawen Wed Jun 02, 2010 5:58 pm

Once they were back at the fire pit Lithawen ran over to the area where she noted there were potions and politics and practically smashed everything that wasn't blue.

It's hard to describe the feeling of taking a lyrium potion. It may just be a different experience for each person, but Lithawen would equate it to just waking up after a very calm and restful slumber, a breath of fresh air, and a splash of cold water all at once.

Lithawen coughed slightly after chugging the whole Master Lyrium Potion. It felt like she had been thrown into an icy river. And with that new alertness she grabbed Elendil, coating her old friend in the crackling static as she started a longer spell, Tempest. "Cover me for a minute," she said to Sinjan. "Then we'll head up together.

Post  Sinjan Wed Jun 02, 2010 6:05 pm

"Covering!" Sinjan was one who knew of what lithium did to help spellcasters and he knew better than to get in the way of that. He'd already begun defending her back, grabbing his shield as he did so.

He grinned manically as he hit two Genlocks with his shield then bashed one into a stupor, making it fall over dead. The man moved quickly, slashing, hitting, kicking and grunting as he got slight slashes to himself. He noticed the others going towards the trail towards the plateau and kept fighting, hoping that Lithawen was doing a big spell. It looked like she was.

The knight put his own body in the way of attacks, receiving a cut to his left leg as he did so but he saved Lithawen from being hurt. That Hurlock lost a head as another charged him. He rammed his shield into that one with furious blows then stuck his sword into it giving the mage time.

Post  Ianto Wed Jun 02, 2010 10:22 pm

Ianto couldn't help a smile to himself as he followed Jezarine closely, cutting down any darkspawn that tried to get near her. "You don't even have to ask, Jez. Consider your back watched." He had to chuckle a little after thinking about his wording for a moment, then returned his mind to the fight, cutting through a Genlock's stomach with a grin on his face.

As he was slashing at another of the dwarven-darkspawn, he felt a muscle in his arm spasm, and he gritted his teeth, frowning. It was too early for his body to start demanding lyrium again. Maybe all of the fighting was making him tired, and speeding up the process of using the magical drug up, and if that was the case, he'd need some more after the battle. With that in mind, and a sterner set to his mouth and eyes, Ianto continued on with the fight, now keeping his moves to only what was strictly necessary in an effort to keep his body from tiring even more. Right now, he had more than himself to worry about, he thought as he looked forward at Jez, and he couldn't afford to make a wrong move.

When the ground started to vibrate under his feet, he looked up worriedly, and winced when he saw an Ogre coming towards them. With a quick look to make sure that Jez was clear for the moment- and doubly glad to hear that she's finished healing Bowen- he broke off from their path to black the massive darkspawn's way. "Keep going up with Bowen and Caterina!" He called over to the dark-colored elf. "I'll be right behind you." Right after I kill this thing, he added on in his head.

Even before the spell was fully cast, lightning sparked from the ground angrily, first close to Lithawen's feet, and then moved farther out. Lithawen breathed out calmly as she set the Lightning storm on the area.

As the darkspawn twitched with the touch of electricity, Lithawen ran forward with Elendil, swinging wide and taking down three at a time.

"How's the leg?" she asked Sinjan as she stepped back, letting go of almost all of her Arcane Warrior buffs and casted her Keeper powers.

Lithawen summoned gigantic roots from within the ground to attack all enemies in the area, impaling the opponents for a short time.

Post  Bowen Thu Jun 03, 2010 2:35 am

"Done!"

Bowen glanced back at Jezarine and nodded, smiling, still with his arm around Caterina's shoulders. Of course he could walk alone, even before he was healed, but her body against his side felt nice.

''I give you my thanks, my dear lady. You've patched well an old man''. The Nevarran smirked. ''Let's keep going''

"Keep going up with Bowen and Caterina! I'll be right behind you."

He heard Ianto saying that, and glancing back again he saw the massive ogre, and the guy facing him. Bowen grunted his approval, and hugged Caterina with the arm she still had around her shoulders, and bent to kiss her neck slowly, really glad with her scent. ''I have to go, my lady. I'll see you in the plateau, I promise. Take Jez there, and when Ianto and I are done, you will slap us as you wish. Be careful, please''

Bowen smiled down at her and pointed to the plateau, then turned to join Ianto. On his way he bowed his head to Jezarine, greeting her with courtesy lifting his sword, and finally stopped beside Ianto, facing the approaching ogre.

''Surely you weren't planning of keeping all the fun for yourself...''

"Leg's fine." He lied as he noticed the two men going in to fight a very large ogre. He started moving towards them, "Just gonna watch more backs."Sinjan cut down a couple Genlocks then found himself before a Hurlock Alpha. This time it took a bit to put down the Darkspawn as this one seemed to have fought much more than the others. The last smash with his shield threw it off balance then his sword swung, taking it's head with it.

He looked at the two men then went back to protecting their backs, "No hurry guys." He teased as he saw more advancing.

Jez nodded to Bowen as Ianto went after the ogre then Bowen followed. This one was huge and she had no idea what to do. She was to go with Caterina but that was one big creature. She had to do something. Now what could she do?

What to do ... what to do? Oh!

The nervous mage pointed towards the ogre, cast crushing prison then continued on with Caterina.

The crushing prison kept the ogre in place instead of charging Ianto like it had intended to.

Post  Ianto Thu Jun 03, 2010 10:02 am

When Bowen appeared at Ianto's side, he couldn't help but smirk back at the older man. "Of course not. I wouldn't dream of it, old man. There's more than enough Ogre for the both of us." He winked, then turned back to face the Ogre. Except now, he noticed with a surprised blink, it was no longer moving, instead struggling in one place, as if it was trying to move, but could not. He spared a glance back at Jez and sent her a silent thank you. That would make this much easier. He wondered how long the spell lasted for...

Well, he shouldn't just stand around, waiting for the spell to wear off. With a readying stance, he charged for the Ogre, trusting that Bowen would attack where he could. The giant darkspawn cast its eyes at him angrily, trashing it's arms in an attempt to move, to charge. He avoided a swing of its right arm, slashing at its arm near the elbow, and he saw the arm go limp as he cut the tendons. But cutting arms wouldn't kill this thing. Only a head blow, or a strong blow to the chest, would put this thing down for good. He looked back at Bowen with a smile. "Hey, old man! Try and keep up! I don't want to do all of the work!"

The second kiss came as an equal surprise to Caterina as the first one, and she turned to look at Bowen curiously. When he spoke, though, she looked back at Ianto and smirked, looking back at Bowen. "Oh, fine. Go and have your fun. If you manage to survive, you will receive the beating of your life, dear sir. No man kisses an Antivan woman without consequences." She slapped him playfully on the arm, then took a step backwards. "I will make sure that Jez gets to the top safely," she assured with a nod, then turned and sprinted back to the elven woman, standing by her side protectively as she cast a spell on the Ogre. The freezing of the Ogre put Caterina's heart at ease. She wouldn't have admitted it, but she'd been worried to see Bowen go to fight it. Ianto, as well. She'd never fought this many darkspawn before, but she'd seen what an Orge could do to a person, even if they were as strong as Bowen or Ianto.

She cast one last look at the two men fighting, then turned to Jez with a confident smile. "Let us go quickly now, Jez. We have to show those men that we can fight just as well, no?" She winked, then turned to climb up the hill quickly, making sure that the mage was close behind her.

''Show more respect to your elders, kid!''

Bowen laughed, charging against the ogre and surrounding it to attack the big darkspawn from his back. Even if they were fighting, he felt pleased. Having kissed twice a lovely young lady was not a thing that a man could do so often just after meeting her. He smirked thinking about the 'punishment' she promised him.

''Let me show you something, lad. To fight an ogre, the best thing you can do is this!'' He roared, and reaped cruelly the tendons of the back part of the knees. Even if the ogre was paralyzed, he could scream. ''And if it's not enough, you do THIS!''

Bowen reaped the Achilles tendons, and almost instantly the ogre fell to the ground. ''And when you have it where you want it to be...''. The Nevarran grunted happily and stabbed the ogre's throat with his sword to the hilt.

Ianto smiled to himself, hold his swords with steady hands as he cut at the front of the Ogre. "Well, old man!" He called over to the other side of the Ogre, and over the darkspawn's agonizing scream. "It seems like you do have some fight left in you! Let us kids have a turn, eh?"

He jumped out of the way as the Ogre fell to its knees in front of him, and he smiled as Bowen stabbed the Ogre throat. He felt a few drops of blood land on him from the neck cutting, but he paid them no mind. He was busy watching Bowen finish of the giant darkspawn with an appreciative look. "I guess experience does come with age, old man." He took a step forward, making sure that the Ogre really was dead before going closer to Bowen. "You really did a number on it... but, we really shouldn't hang around," he said wryly, looking around them at the darkspawn running up the hill. He made a sharp swiping motion with each of his swords, ridding them of blood, and then started back up the hill, knowing that the sooner everyone was together, the soon the real fight would begin. As if this wasn't a real fight, he thought to himself with a snort.

Supper Time Day One - Page 2 Empty Re: Supper Time Day One

Post  Lithawen Thu Jun 03, 2010 11:28 am

Lithawen watched the fighter as they went up close with the Darkspawn, she hung back and casted her high level element spells. Summoning storms whenever the last one started to let up. This time around the Keeper didn't let her mana get to low, and replenished her senses with the nearby Lyrium potions often.

It wasn't long before the Arcane Warrior was bored of just hanging back and casting spells like a good little mage. It was hard to keep from just running into the heat of battle with everyone else. But they had enough front men, and were lacking in magical beings. There was that dark-skinned elf, though she didn't seem to know what she was doing as she only casted one spell in a panic.

Lithawen wouldn't be as useless as that other mage! She wouldn't have that! So she casted every offensive spell she knew on the enemies. Her low level spirit branch, such as walking bomb, and mind blast to her higher level Primal branch.

She could felt herself growing gittery with the massive amount of Lyrium she was consuming, even though she was using it almost right away, the after effects were still there. At least she knew she would sleep well tonight.

Post  Jezarine Thu Jun 03, 2010 5:38 pm

Jezarine went towards the plateau's trail and noticed others were hurt. The dark Dalish was no fighter, as she had said, but she was a healer, for that she was not lying. Her energy was taken by those skills and she could do it with her eyes closed. She could feel the pain and wounds of the party around her and was fraught with frustration that there was any at all.

As they reached the foot of the trail to the plateau she extended her energy into their group, healing their wounds as she waited for the others to clear her way. It took a bit of time to complete the spell but felt it would be worth it.

((DM NOTE - ANYONE WITH WOUNDS ARE NOW HEALED - healers in this rp can do a lot but not all but non-healers can only do a bit comparatively))

Post  Sinjan Thu Jun 03, 2010 5:42 pm

Sinjan felt a soothing touch of magic wash over him and found his wound on his leg healing, the cut mending under his gaze. He looked up to Lithawen with a perplexed look as she'd been casting her devastating spells on the Darkspawn, "You didn't just heal me did you?"

He didn't wait for the answer as he moved to the other two women and started taking down the Darkspawn ahead of them. He noticed Jezarine and gave her a quick glance as he hadn't seen her beforehand but kept chopping off Darkspawn heads, "Lithawen! Let's get these ones out of the way! Can you watch our backs, Caterina?"

Lithawen looked to Sinjan and shook her head. "I'm not a healer," she replied as she herself felt the warm healing magic.

She gripped onto Elendil and bound forwards, following Sinjan into the fray slashing her sword as she went. She was mindful of those around her as she swung, careful to not hit any of her allies, lighting everyone's weapons on fire.

With Elendil weighing her down, the Arcane Warrior moved slowly but her hits had more power behind them; taking down a few darkspawn with each swing.
