Get the party started

Well, now everything was ready. Or so she hoped.

Calliara inspected the decoration of the ballroom with critic eye. Ivy hanging on the walls and creating beautiful designs, and also hanging from one wall to another, crossing the ceiling and ocassionally falling down to the stone floor. For her, it was beautiful and full of Nature, but she wondered what the others would think. And she found that she didn't care.

Shrugging, she turned her attention to another things, like the big, enormous table that was usually used for formal dining and now was prepared to be filled with all kinds of food that was being cooked in the kitchens. She had ordered the cooks to serve the food in two or three hours to give time for the people to arrive and have it ready.

Near the enormous stone fireplace she had placed several loveseats, single armchairs, and lots of cushions on the big, fuzzy bear rug to lean on them. There was also an open space near all of that for the ones wishing to dance, spontaneous sparring, whatever.

The Wolf sighed, trying to think in something that she could haven done to do it better, but she couldn't think in anything. Things like balloons, confetti, banners or piñatas were strange concepts for her. In fact, the Dalish concept for 'party' wasn't the same at all, but she managed to arrange an hybrid of it so they all could be comfortable. She wondered if she was right or not.

But it was too late to do another thing, so she sat down on the cushions on the floor with her guitar to wait for people to show up

Bowen Pentaghast was facing one of the thoughest decissions in his entire life, and he frowned while looking at himself in the mirror, with a knife in his hand.

Shave or not to shave. That was the question.

Also, he wondered what to wear, but most important, he wondered what Caterina would wear. Man, that was difficult. He didn't wanted to look like something brought by the cat by her side. Luckily Calliara had appointed him some things that he could wear, and he happily let his sister to choose for him.

Women were best at that matters, not rugged old warriors that had difficulties now trying to decide if shaving or not was a good idea.

He sighed, and with a determinated look to his reflect, he started. Maybe not a total shave, but certainly he could succeed with a trimmed beard

A party, a party, Caterina singsonged in her head as she went about her room. She didn't want to dress up too much, but she did put on her newest and most elegant set of light, leather armor, and her new green tunic, and felt festive enough. She paid special attention to her new, short hair as she got ready, still not quite comfortable enough with it to know how best to style it, so she left it be with a thorough brushing. Maybe Calliara or Sophia would have some tips, later.

It really was a very good idea to have a party, she thought as she prepared. Their night out a few days back had been wonderful (in her opinion), and she thought that everyone deserved a bit of relaxation now. Festivity had a certain recuperative attribute that simply sitting around did not, and she was excited to see everyone else, and wondered what they might wear, or what sort of food they'd have.

This room of hers that was connected to Bowen's almost distracted her. She kept looking at the door that joined the two rooms, and then kept forcing herself to look away so that she could keep getting ready. There was an old addadge, that a girl should never let her man see them dressed up before the party, but she wondered what he might wear, and hoped that she wasn't too under dressed. Calliara hadn't said what they should wear, so she thought that maybe her best leathers might be enough, but now she wasn't so sure.

Well, fashion faux pas or not, she still looked good, and arrive a little under dressed was better than arriving too over dressed. She smiled, and then went about finding her new boots to complete her attire.
