Returning to Normal
It is a new year with new possibilities, and thankfully I'm starting to get out of my slump. As you see I have begun to post here again. Last year I had been concerned about a lot of things including health, whether we would have to move or not and even whether I would even continue to have a job. So far things are looking good for this next year.
I am finally seeing a pain specialist who will be analyzing what I require and setting me up with whatever is needed to give me the proper abilities to deal with my situation. This may be such things as seeing a rheumatologist, physiotherapist, psychiatrist or having tests done. Whatever is needed to cope will apparently be in reach now.
I'm continuing on this year with acupuncture. I've been finding it helpful. I will go for a heat treatment for two weeks then an acupuncture treatment the third. That way I will have the best of both and still be under my yearly health insurable amount. Paying into to health benefits for work really does help
My doctor wants to keep me working at 80% the workload but would wish to have me work less hours, even up to half. I'm afraid of that concept due to my hubby still not working (the medications he keeps being put on messes him up about as much as his problems) and my boss indicated that he didn't know what would happen if my doc did make me continue at only 80%. I could see him flip if she said 50%.
Thankfully head office is being extremely helpful with this. Maybe it is because they know that if they were not that they could possibly be sued for letting a person go because of a medical condition I have no control over. Or maybe they are truly concerned. *laughs manically and falls over gasping* Yeh right. Actually, it could be right but it's still a funny thought after all the layoffs that were done in our workplace.
Another thing that is making me feel happy and bright is that one of my best friends, and definitely my bestest of best work friends, Kassina is able to move to a place much closer to work! That excites me to no end. She has been walking about 50 min to the bus then having to bus about 2 hours (if I'm wrong she'll correct me here) to and from work every day. I worry about my friends and this has concerned me greatly. I've been worried for her health and sanity just as she has been worried about mine with all this fibro stuff. But now I can be happy that she will have time to her!
I also got a WII from the DND friends I play with every Sunday. Man I almost fell over when I saw that. Apparently the look on my face was priceless. Kassina sent me some additions for the WII and hubby got me the WII Fit (and some other things including moccassins *cuddles moccassins* I loves me moccassins). Now we are working on our spare room in the basement so we can set it all up nice.
Speaking of which ... I should get back to it.
So how is your new year starting out and how's the outlook for you?

Oh! I'm so happy to hear that your health stuff is sorting out [/cries in happiness] It might be a slow climb, but I'm glad that it's starting to look better.
The new year is looking good for me. Much the same as last year, but I couldn't complain then and so I can't complain now. The last semester was insane for me, and so I suppose my only hope is that this semester is a bit smoother sailing? Either way, all is well, and I can only hope to say the same for the rest of the year, and for everyone else.
[/much love to everyone]

You've no idea how relieved I am that you're getting better (or at least treatment), Nyggy. I wish you luck in the recovery.
As for my new year, too soon to tell, really. The end of last year was heartbreakingly depressing, but I keep a stiff upper lip and move on. I'd really like this forum to become active again.

No Fap 2012, retaking some classes, planning some financial stuff (mostly raising my credit rating).
My things are chugging along. Glad to hear things are looking up for you.

Good to hear all is looking up for you. As for me, got me an appartment, got me a 32 inch TV, got a job, got a car, easy access to the alcohol, my pull up bar and gonna start going to the gym next week once the next paycheck comes through. Enough of this disgusting civilian bullshit for me, time to get my fat ass back in shape. Barely over a year left till I get to talk to an army recruiter.
As far as these boards, I've been really trying hard to post something these past couple of days, but I can't for the life of me remember where I was going with any of my RPs.

Re: Returning to Normal
Me I just survived a pneumonia. Hooray. Also I'm stuck writing my final thesis for the master (not the one that'll make me a doctor) because I don't know what to do and I feel like a stupid and the lecturer that is suppossed to help me just doesn't talk to me. Also, I'm pretty angry with myself and pissed, but that's another story.
For this New Year, I will kick everybody's arses to make them post and make the forum keep going
Uncle Vanya, you don't know how glad I am to see you here again. I was missing you and your snarky posts, другу. I don't know either where were you going, but Ostef is almost passing out in Calliara's arms, and you and Drake were in the middle of a flashback. Maybe you could sort out something with that
