Guild Wars 2 Beta

Sorry if I haven't been posting this weekend but I have been taking advantage of my Guild Wars 2 privileges (the game is a very early bday present from a friend) and playing the beta weekend since Friday. And I also played some Diablo 3 with the hubby. Always nice to play with friends or mate.

It has been a good weekend for doing this and it certainly helps relieve stress.

In other news, Kassina is in town and we had a good visit. Avengers helps. Yay.

Oh, you were in the GW2 beta? Should've said something earlier, I've spent the past three days messing around in it as well. Planning on rolling on Tarnished Coast once the full game comes out, I think (my current character - Human Noble Male Warrior - is on TC as well), assuming my other friends are staying on TC (and hopefully, TC will continue to dominate WvW - last time I checked, we were close to 200k WvW points, and our opponents were at like, 2k and 1k).

Another thing, this Guild Wars 2 thingie, would be free as the first one was? I mean, you buy the game and expansions, but you don't have to pay monthly to play?

Yup.

No monthly fee, because ArenaNet doesn't believe in monthly fees.

Yay then maybe I'll think about buying this one. My best friend and I will RP endlessly in a doom cycle till the end of time.

IIRC, GW2 Roleplayers' North American community, as well as RPG.net, has elected Tarnished Coast as their "official" RP server (And Petriefied Forest for the EU community).

Not that it much matters except for World vs. World vs. World. You can guest to any other server (assuming it's not currently full) so you can play with friends even if you're all on fifteen different servers (this is assuming you have fifteen friends :v ).

Well I won't say I have fifteen friends, friendship for me it's a bit special. And definitely I don't have fifteen people whom I RP with (how many are we here now?). And again, I'd have to have in mind different timezones, different type of playing (I despise PvP with passion), etc...

I like long term pure RP campaigns, I'm weird like that ._. with my best friend we have currently (*counting)* mmmmHMMMM... the World of Darkness; Vampire Masquerade one since 2006 and still going (two years in game), another World of Darkness set in ancient Sumeria (past lives of our WoD characters), a Shadowrun/Cyberpunk one, a Forgotten Realms one where I rp the original Calliara (which is completely different as this one), and we are currently thrilled with a Skyrim RP because she is a sucker for Elder Scrolls.

Hilarrifying.

I forget what world I was on but I did have fun. My friends and I will be going for Darkhaven when the game fully comes out. Why? Well uh we like the name. *shrug*
