OTL I don't have a desktop.
I was seriously considering getting a desktop, just so I could play DA2, but somehow, I knew that wasn't going to fly.

Dude I played Orgions2 on PC I hated it. The Graphics sucked, Loading time was forever, There was constant freezing and loading times. Systems are way better. Graphics and details are better just for a start off.

Re: Look what I did.
Guess what, PCs are customizable. Granted, I am in need of a lot of newer stuff, but Dragon Age 2 played better than Origins on my computer, which oddly makes sense since Mass Effect 2 plays better on it than Mass Effect.
Some games are just better on PC than console and vice versa. Oh yeah, and guess what, my Hawke now has a custom face with default hair and a scar, which you can't do, I believe, on console versions. Wolfram's hair color and style was a Origins mod.

Maybe it's person to person. I never liked computer games much Consoles always were better. Better graphics, better fighting system, better controls. Just seemed better. Those who like PC I don't judge you but I prefer Consoles when Gaming.

Re: Look what I did.
Trolololo~ someone needs to get better hardware. Joyeuse can run DAA at fullmax settings @ 1920x1080p and get 45FPS (more if I close background programs).Shade wrote:Dude I played Orgions2 on PC I hated it. If your rig can't run ArmA2 at high-detail settings @ 1920x1080p and get a minimum of 30FPS, the fault, as far as I care, lies with your hardware and not with the software implementation.
Now, if your system can do that, and the software you attempt runs slower than molasses on a cold November night in NYC, then yeah, the software is probably at fault. (This is blatantly obvious in poor console-to-PC ports, such as Saints Row 2 and Mercenaries 2.)

ETA: Also, hotkeys. Controllers are nice and easy because you don't have a lot of travel time on keypress, but nothing rivals a full 108 keys and a decent five-button mouse when it comes down to actions-per-minute and precision. (Hell, I don't know how I'd ever manage to play EVE without full use of my F-row.)

I. Love. DA2.
But.
Oh.
My.
God.
The Loading.
I could make a PB&J sammich for each one of those loading screens.
Oops! Forgot an item in the chest back in that last building? TROLOLOLOL! GOTTA' LOAD FIRST!

Re: Look what I did.
Wizard? I take offense to that. This power is all-natural, baby. I'mma Sorcerer. /DNDhumor /nerd /NEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRD
Also: loading times? Loading times ain't got nothin' on Knights of the Round in FFVII. Or Eden in FFVIII. I made entire seven-course meals, burned down the kitchen, doused the smoldering ashes of my home, and moved into a new apartment complex in the time it took those summon animations to complete.

Re: Look what I did.
I'm pretty lucky with my PC. Loading times are usually not long at all unless I'm completely over multi-tasking. We don't have consoles because heck my husband is a game hog. I'd have to kill him if we were sharing the tv and video games. No no. Safer to just have our own PCs as that would keep me out of jail ... unless ... hey Vanya ... know of any good ways to get rid of a body?
That's mean. But I do have insurance on him. Hmm.
I could never get used to game controllers though. I've tried them and I just can't grasp the concept (joysticks are more fun ). A friend of mine once had me try one that had that joy buzzer affect when you're attacked by something and holy shoot it shocked me. Bad enough I have troubled manipulating the keys then it buzzes and jumps in your hand. Wait. Nevermind I shall behave for a moment.

Amonia for the blood, The body you pull out the teeth and burn the hands and char the body. Impossible to get either a Dental or Fingerprint ID. Say your husband left with some Bimbo if anyone asks they will pity you and leave it alone. Murder weapon I suggest a Bat and use the wood for a Fireplace log. Clean the blood off with bleach don't let it stay on there. Any clothes don't burn them bury them not at home Public Park or Graveyard at night. In fact if you don't want to bother with all that just bury him in a cemetery in a unmarked grave there is plenty of those as it is.

Re: Look what I did.
Pretty much any caustic chemical will do. Ammonia, lye, fire, sulfuric acid... you can use boron trifluoride to melt bones.
Chlorine trifluoride is probably my favorite. It's like the acid blood of Xenomorphs from Aliens, but even worse, because it turns into different toxic chemicals depending on what it corrodes! (Probably better used for killing than for corpse-disposal, but eh...)

Re: Look what I did.
I don't really understand what you guys are talking about. LOL.
@Shadow: Different strokes for different folks. As long as you're happy with what you have, that's good. ^^
Speaking of which, my mom's gonna put in the order for my custom-built. Calling it the Fade Beast. ;D I'm looking forward to getting it. Serethiel, if you ever get a computer, get a custom-built. Final Warrior would be the man to ask about those things (see that topic I made a while back).
Does anyone remember Andon, a character of mine that I've used before? I think Dragonis would remember him. Now that I can get my beloved Ketojan, I'm playing him in DA2. Will play through with a LadyHawke named Isabeau once I get my Fade Beast.

Re: Look what I did.
Meh. There are far better than me. For example, I don't touch overclocking... because, in my opinion, overclocking is for chumps. But there are interesting things you can do with overclocking that I wouldn't entirely discount.
Also, software-wise, I'm only really familiar with Windows. Haven't spent enough time dicking around in *nix or *BSD to be familiar with them at all.

Re: Look what I did.
I'm not going to be overclocking, and it's going to have Windows 7 64-bit. ^_^
